WS promotes two in San Francisco

NEW YORK: Weber Shandwick has named Robert Dowling GM for Northern California. He replaces Tim Marklein who the agency simultaneously appointed EVP of its measurement and strategy practice. Dowling will continue in his current role as head of WS' technology practice in North America, where he is responsible for business development initiatives and a broad range of client counsel and thought leadership initiatives. He will report to Ken Luce, president of the firm’s California and Southwest offices. Marklein will lead the practice group that measures communications progress, gauges market trends, listens to stakeholders, and defines the strategies help clients assess their efforts. He will also continue to help clients with their communications strategies.
