TV scored a credibility ranking of 6.6, according to a survey conducted September 4-7 by Opinion Research Corp. and sponsored by ARAnet, a content-distribution firm. Daily newspapers scored a ranking of 6.3, while radio earned a tally of 6.
The 1,005 consumers gave online outlets a ranking of 5.6, weekly community newspapers a score of 5.2, and magazines a mark of 4.6. Free shopping guides were the only medium to score below 4, getting a 3.5 ranking.
