South Carolina firms' joint venture aims for C-suite

COLUMBIA, SC: Corporate strategy firms Chernoff Newman and The Byrum Innovation Group (BIG) have formed a joint venture, Ingenia, a firm that will provide corporate governance, marketing, IR, and operations services to corporate CEOs and boards. Ingenia consultants will include W. Lee Bussell, chairman and CEO of Chernoff Newman; Kristie Bohm Byrum, president and CEO of the Byrum Innovation Group; and Reed Bolton Byrum, chair of the Byrum Innovation Group. The firm will specialize in corporate risk and reputation management issues for industries including healthcare, energy, and technology. The firm will have offices in Columbia, Greenville, and Charleston in South Carolina, as well as Orlando, FL. Chernoff Newman and The Byrum Innovation Group will continue to operate under their own, separate brands.
