Latin America boasts 9 million bloggers, study finds
MIAMI: There are more than 9 million bloggers in Latin America, according to a study released today by The Jeffrey Group called "The Blogosphere in Latin America: A Regional Analysis of Power and Influence." The study analyzes online habits, especially blogging, of consumers in Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela, and Brazil and compares them to US online habits. The goal of the study is to give US companies an analysis of the region, showing the potential impact blogging can have on business. The study found that top blog topics in Latin America are technology, politics and government, and general news. Meanwhile, writing about personal life experiences is the top topic of US-based blogs.
