MUMBAI: The Taj Mahal Palace and Tower has enlisted its PR agencies to assist in outreach following last week's terrorist attacks. In the US, the company is working with Sheila Donnelly & Associates.
“We really can't speak about it as it still is in progress, and we are so fully occupied,” Sheila Donnelly Theroux, president of the firm, told PRWeek. The firm has been working with all of Taj's global properties for six years as its US communications representative for crisis communications, speechwriting, publicity, and marketing counsel, she added. She declined further comment on the outreach efforts, but added, “The spirit of recovery for Taj is thoughtful and not daunted for a second.”
In India, the hotel company works with Vaishnavi Corporate Communications. The firm has been fielding media queries and updating the company's Web page, said a source at Vaishnavi.
Theroux noted that her firm and Vaishnavi “rarely connect.” The Taj also has agencies in other countries, she added.
