WASHINGTON: Edelman has added two prominent political strategists to its public affairs practice, naming Bob Shrum and Doug Schoen senior counselors effective January 1, confirmed Derek Creevey, agency chief of staff.
Shrum was senior advisor to Sen. John Kerry's (D-MA) failed 2004 presidential bid. He also worked on the presidential campaigns of former Vice President Al Gore, former Sen. Bob Kerrey (D-NE), and former Massachusetts Gov. Michael Dukakis.
Schoen is a founding partner of Penn, Schoen, and Berland Associates, now a WPP agency. A former consultant to President Bill Clinton, Schoen also writes for The Huffington Post.
