WASHINGTON: Ketchum's litigation communications practice added one of the sector's most prominent figures to its roster last week, Rose Marshall.
As president of her own firm, Legal PR, since 1992, Marshall represented such clients as the American Tort Reform Association, Monsanto, and the American Trucking Associations. She shuttered her doors and retired her clients in June 2002, choosing instead to focus on a new hobby, sailboat racing.
But a longtime friendship with Karen Doyne, director of Ketchum's litigation PR practice, and a desire to work again brought her to Ketchum.
"Litigation PR is a relatively young and relatively small specialty, and there aren't that many seasoned professionals, period," said Doyne. "Working with someone of Rose's caliber is simply an extraordinary opportunity."
Marhsall, who will serve as senior counselor, arrives at the agency with several unnamed clients in tow.
"Ketchum is very, very good, and Karen and I have known each other for years," said Marshall. "Having the chance to work side-by-side with and learn from this dream team is the pinnacle of my career."
