KISSIMMEE and ORLANDO, FL: The American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR) has chosen a new agency of record, Yesawich, Pepperdine, Brown & Russell (YPB&R), after reviewing out of its agency of eight years, M. Silver Associates.
"We had four real contenders that we were very serious with," said AANR membership marketing consultant Debra Peterson. "YPB&R brings a lot of experience when it comes to travel and tourism. Also, their enthusiasm for our account was wonderful."
The AANR is the oldest and largest organization representing clothes-free and clothing-optional recreation in North America, with 50,000 members.
The association also boasts 623 clubs, resorts, and campgrounds throughout the US and Canada.
According to Peterson, AANR membership has grown 76% over the past decade, and YPB&R has been charged with growing and maintaining the AANR's membership through PR programs, which will mostly consist of media relations and customer outreach.
Though the campaign is still in the planning stages, Mary Jane Kolassa, VP of YPB&R, speculated on possible media relations tactics. "Sun safety is very important to AANR members, and many are involved in gardening, so there are certain niche categories that we'll try to weave our message into."
