NORWALK, CT: Delahaye, Medialink's research division, has chosen David Cappuccio to be its first-ever COO. He joins from SageCircle, an industry analyst relations firm, where he served as a principal strategist.
The new appointee said his hiring during a down economy is indicative of larger companies realizing the importance of PR. "As more money continues to be budgeted for PR, people will start spending more on determining the ROI," predicted Cappuccio.
Before SageCircle, Cappuccio spent nine years with the Gartner Group, most recently as group VP and GM. Delahaye CEO Mark Weiner said Cappuccio's new position evolved as a result of the work the research company was already doing with him while at Gartner, on a consulting basis. "They (Gartner) deal with technology while we do PR research, but the models are similar," explained Weiner. "We're looking for David to do the same great work here that he did there."
In the same week, Delahaye promoted Wayne Bullock to SVP, and Craig Mitchell to VP.
