LONDON: Carlo Crighton has left Edelman as the international director of its tech practice, a year after joining the agency.
Crighton left the firm because travel kept him from his family more than he wanted, said Alison Canning, president of international operations.
"The real leverage point for tech business at the moment is in the US - not in Europe, where Carlo is based," said Canning. "He did not wish to move there or spend more time than he currently does traveling."
Edelman created the position early last year and hired Crighton, who had just left Text 100.
"Carlo has experience in the specialist area, and we consider him a mover and shaker," said Canning upon Crighton's hiring.
Canning said she is not looking for an immediate replacement, and will divide Crighton's duties among tech staff in the US, Europe, and Asia.
