CHICAGO: Ketchum has shuffled senior managers in its Chicago office, promoting J. Adaire Putnam to director. Michael Hatcliffe, formerly office director, has been named senior counselor, and will work with the office's largest clients.

Paul Rand, a Ketchum partner and head of its global technology practice, becomes an MD in Chicago, and will get more involved in new-business development.

Peter Fleischer, a former MD in Chicago, has been named a senior counselor.

He will also become more involved in new business.

Putnam and Rand joined Ketchum when it bought CTC in June 2001.

"Adaire's been doing a superb job in an operational capacity at CTC, and we wanted to take that talent and apply it across a wider base," said Lorraine Thelian, senior partner in charge of North America.
