PORTLAND, OR: David Kiser has been named IR manager for outdoor apparel and footwear giant Columbia Sportswear Company.
Kiser will report directly to Columbia's CFO, Bryan Timm, and will manage all aspects of investor relations for the Nasdaq-listed company. Kiser was most recently director of IR for Hillsboro, OR-based Corillian Corporation.
In his new post at Columbia, Kiser will be responsible for all corporate financial communications, including those with Wall Street analysts, brokers, individual investors, and the financial media. Kiser will also continue the development of corporate IR programs already in place at the apparel company, many of which were developed by his predecessor Sean Beers. Beers recently moved to the Sorel division of the company as the director of operations.
"As Columbia Sportswear continues to execute its key growth strategies, we must continue to build sound financial relationships with the Wall Street community, the public, and Columbia's shareholders," said CFO Timm. "David's extensive experience in investor relations will prove important to achieving those objectives."
Kiser has 14 years of IR and public accounting experience. Prior to his recent stint at Corillian, he was the director of IR and corporate communications at Lake Oswego, OR-based Southern Pacific Funding Corporation. In both positions, Kiser was responsible for leading investor relations as well as overall corporate financial positioning.
