AUCKLAND, NZ: Burson-Marsteller is strengthening its presence down under by partnering with the Acumen Group, one of New Zealand's top PR firms.
The partnership extends a relationship Burson formed with Acumen subsidiary Consultus more than 20 years ago.
"The Acumen Group has grown into a cutting edge multi-brand organization, so it was important to ensure that our partnership reflects the current structure and resources," said Bill Rylance, Burson's CEO and president in the Asia-Pacific region. 'This also allows us to explore the exciting potential for growth in New Zealand and the Asia-Pacific region,"
Burson will provide Acumen and its clients a global network, while Acumen will work for Burson clients in New Zealand. The union allows both to exchange knowledge and insight, particularly in Asia-Pacific, said Acumen MD Michael Dunlop.
"In a virtual way, we are now 2,500 strong," added Dunlop. "We now share the intellectual capital of the Burson-Marsteller network."
Rylance added, "We already have the most established network of wholly-owned offices across the region, and this year we celebrate 30 years in Asia. We are very proud of this unique heritage. Our vision, as it relates to the Asia-Pacific region, is clear, compelling, and uncompromising."
