NEWS BRIEF: Jim Dyke takes over as communications director

WASHINGTON: Jim Dyke has taken over as communications director at the Republican National Committee. A former principal with lobbying firm Quinn Gillespie Associates, Dyke had served as the group's press secretary since March 2002. Prior to that, he was a spokesman for Secretary Donald Evans at the Department of Commerce and coalitions communications director for the George Bush 2000 Presidential campaign.
