NEW YORK: London-based Control Risks Group, an international business-risk consultancy, has retained transatlantic PR firm Brown Lloyd James (BLJ) to launch its brand in the US.

BLJ's New York office will provide media relations and public affairs services to raise awareness of Control Risks Group among top US opinion leaders, including news editors, corporate executives, and government officials.

"Control Risks Group is the right company at the right time - the tone of the country is one very much centered on risk and security," said BLJ EVP Mike Holtzman in a prepared statement. "But it's a delicate process to convey 'assurance' without appealing to fear."

Founded in 1975, Control Risks provides political and security risk analysis, among other crisis-management services, to governments and corporations.
