WASHINGTON: APCO Worldwide is launching a new task force to help clients land US contracts for Iraq's rebuilding.

WASHINGTON: APCO Worldwide is launching a new task force to help clients land US contracts for Iraq's rebuilding.

SVP Marc Ginsberg, former US ambassador to Morocco, will lead the new effort. An expert in Middle East politics, Ginsberg heads APCO affiliate Northstar Equity Group, which offers strategic consulting to US companies working in the Middle East.

"A variety of clients have come asking how best to navigate the contracting and subcontracting maze" around the rebuilding of Iraq, said Ginsberg. No current APCO clients hold such contracts, he added, but many are "in the pipeline."

APCO will also be advising companies from countries that were "less than supportive" of the war, said Ginsberg.

Also part of the task force are former congressmen Don Riegle and Steve Solarz, former FAA administrator Jane Garvey, and former CBS News and Washington Post journalist Charles Krause.
