Porter Novelli taps Schreiber to be its GM in Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, CA: Bill Schreiber has been named GM of Porter Novelli's Sacramento office.

SACRAMENTO, CA: Bill Schreiber has been named GM of Porter Novelli's Sacramento office.

Schreiber has been acting GM since January, when the office officially took on the PN name. Previously, it was NCG, which Porter Novelli acquired about three-and-a-half years ago.

In addition to the daily management of the office, Schreiber is charged with helping PN create a stronger national and international public affairs practice.

"We're very interested in establishing that as a primary offering," said Schreiber.

With California facing a severe budget crisis, public affairs work in Sacramento has already become a priority for many corporations here.

"It's a dynamic time here," said Schreiber. "When the conflicts are going, it's really good for our business. Right now, California is a hotbed of legislation that is of concern to corporate America."
