NEW YORK: Euro RSCG Life NRP (formerly Noonan Russo) has named Jorge Del Mazo global business director of its marketing service group. He joins from Marina Maher Communications, where he served as EVP and healthcare practice director.
Although he is responsible for all strategic development and marketing communications programs for the agency, Del Mazo said he would predominantly focus on pharmaceutical clients.
He explained, "Until more products start moving into commercialization, the majority of biotech work will be handled by our IR and corporate teams."
Del Mazo's is a new position, created when John Quick, NRP's former marketing services director, left. The job consolidates Quick's responsibilities with global leadership.
The hiring, said Del Mazo, is in line with NRP's overall integration strategy, which it employed when Euro RSCG Worldwide aligned its 44 healthcare-focused companies under a single reporting structure earlier this year.
