READING, UK: Oracle is enhancing its UK PR by creating a new position, senior director of UK corporate communications.

Stacey Torman, senior director of corporate communications in the company's Bay Area headquarters, will take on the new role in September.

"I will continue to raise the profile of the company as a corporate citizen in the UK, and the products and services that really matter to businesses and government there," said Torman.

Torman said the new position reflects the dedication of VP of global corporate communications Jim Finn and VP of international corporate communications Dave Samson to increasing communications resources oversees, and the importance of the UK market.

Torman will hold the position for one year, reporting to Gaye Hudson, VP of corporate communications for EMEA. Once Torman returns to the US, Oracle will fill the UK position.
