WASHINGTON: Karen Doyne, Ketchum's director of litigation PR, is taking her act to Burson-Marsteller starting this week.

Recognized as one of the young sector's leading practitioners, Doyne has led Ketchum's practice for the past four years. Prior to that, she served as director of public affairs, a role she recently reassumed on a temporary basis following the departure of Anne Forristall.

Liz McLean, managing director of Ketchum's Washington office, said VP Phil Goldberg will take over as director of litigation PR. SVP Kathy Jeavons will oversee the public affairs operation while a permanent director is sought.

Doyne will be stationed in the crisis communications practice at Burson, where she will lead the agency's litigation PR work alongside public affairs managing director Pat Riley. Her other duties will include some issues-management work.
