Ogilvy taps Love to run Atlanta office

ATLANTA: Bari Love, founder of Atlanta ad shop Fletcher Martin Ewing's (FME) PR practice, now runs Ogilvy PR in the city.

Love replaces Genna Keller, who retired this week after 11 years with the firm. Keller was promoted to MD two years ago when Ogilvy expanded its Atlanta operation beyond the tech practice that anchored its presence in the market for a decade.

Love is credited with establishing a bona fide PR operation inside a traditional ad agency. FME partner Michael Ewing expects to replace her shortly.

Ogilvy CEO Marcia Silverman said Love's hire is an effort to expand the firm's presence in the region. "Her broad base of experience and knowledge of the market can only enhance our offering in Atlanta."

Love's hire also offsets the recent departure of Ogilvy EVP Dean Trevelino, who helped build the firm's business with Coca-Cola and SAP Miller.
