New York: MS&L has undergone a reorganization that puts an emphasis on strategic counseling and client services.
The shift includes a number of high-level promotions designed to remove management responsibilities from account participants and allow practice areas, dubbed "centers of excellence," to focus on clients.
"We want people who work in these areas to spend their time on expertise-building, understanding trends, and being able to focus on the expertise side, rather than to have management functions or worry about Mary's raise," said chairman and CEO Lou Capozzi.
Michael Marino, previously New York MD, will take the new title of chief strategic officer, while Jill Farwell, Joe Gleason, and Mark Hass will be presidents, North America. Offices in LA, San Francisco, and Atlanta will report to Farwell. Washington, DC, New York, Boston, and Toronto will report to Gleason. Detroit, Chicago, and Ann Arbor, MI will report to Hass.
