NEW YORK: Colorado Springs, CO-based Pro Sports MVP, which had represented New York Yankee Alfonso Soriano for the past four months, has agreed to step aside to allow the second baseman's contract agent SFX handle his marketing activities.

WASHINGTON: Fleishman-Hillard has rehired SVP Malin Jennings, who returns after three years directing public affairs for the Council of Federal Home Loan Banks. Jennings will work with the agency's corporate reputation group. Fleishman also hired VP Daniel Maiello as VP, who will join the agency's consumer group.

SAN DIEGO: Technology PR firm Lewis intends to acquire the Asia-Pacific operations of Blackie McDonald, a leading communications firm in that region. The acquisition will add offices to Lewis' global network in Singapore, Melbourne, and Sydney, where Lewis already has offices.

ATLANTA: Q1 Labs has selected Birnbach Communications for PR services on an upcoming product launch. The firm will focus on media relations, product reviews, and analyst relations to launch the next version of Q1 Labs' QVision technology, which provides real-time analysis of activity inside and outside companies' networks. Q1 Labs develops services that allow companies to analyze and study behavior within their IT networks.

WEST TRENTON, NJ: DotPhoto has selected Weber Shandwick as its agency of record. The company provides online photo printing and sharing services, including an image portal where members can print, share, and sell digital photos online or via their wireless phones. The agency's New England office will help launch a PR program to build awareness among consumers and investors. The campaign will include media relations, industry analyst relations, and product publicity.

SAN FRANCISCO: Allison & Partners has added two more clients to its roster: 1-800-Radiator, the largest internet provider of automotive radiators in the US; and law firm Pillsbury & Levinson, which provides legal services regarding insurance coverage in numerous areas, including disability, health, and life.

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA: KremsPR has added three new clients, and expanded contracts with three others. The new clients are Comarco, which makes power-source products for mobile computing devices; Commtouch, which develops anti-spam technology; and Natrol, a nutritional-supplement company. The expanded relationships are with Global Factory, which provides software analytics; VanDyke Software, which develops software to help companies with secure remote access, file transfers, and data-tunneling services; and Wingra, which develops messaging systems.
