NEW YORK: The 2003 PRWeek/ Burson-Marsteller CEO Survey is underway. Each year, this survey provides valuable data on how top execs view reputation issues and the impact of PR on their business objectives. CEOs are asked to define the most important PR contributions and how they rate various media outlets.

This year's survey also asks CEOs to rank the importance of various reputation "scorecards" - such as Fortune's Most Admired Companies - that garner so much attention each year (see p. 15). The results will appear in the November 10 issue. Burson is sponsoring the survey for the fourth consecutive year. "[Our firm] has spent many years investing in the development of knowledge that allows us to better understand CEO reputation, and their effect on a company's reputation and business success," said CEO Chris Komisarjevsky. "Our involvement over the years with the PRWeek/Burson-Marsteller CEO Survey has been very satisfying in that it has allowed us to explore these areas in greater depth, and to the benefit of the overall industry," he continued.
