Frankel folds its CA office into Dialog to better serve Nestle

LOS ANGELES: Publicis Dialog is taking over the operations of a Southern California network partner in what the agency describes as a shift to better serve client Nestle.

LOS ANGELES: Publicis Dialog is taking over the operations of a Southern California network partner in what the agency describes as a shift to better serve client Nestle.

Irvine, CA-based Frankel, a full-service and integrated marketing firm, will now become a Publicis Dialog operation headed by Frankel MD Ray Damiano. He will assume the title of president and CEO of Publicis Dialog Southern California. The office will offer PR services in addition to other marketing services, and retain its staff of about 45 marketing pros. The Chicago and San Francisco branches of Frankel will not be affected by the name change.

The move was described as "client driven." Nestle has used both Publicis and Frankel in the past, and this move is intended to streamline the relationship. The new office will handle some PR activity on the account. Publicis Dialog also has an office in nearby Glendale, CA.

"This move is an important step in our overall strategy to further develop our world-class holistic communications offering for current and prospective clients," said Susan Gianinno, chairman and CEO of Publicis USA.

Purina, ConAgra, and Safeway Supermarkets - all Frankel clients - will remain clients of the new Dialog office.
