NEW YORK: Rubenstein Public Relations has added several new clients to its roster, including Swig Burris Equities, the Manhattan Center for Kitchen & Bath, and behavioral economist Woody Dorsey. NEW YORK: James Heekin has been named president and COO of Euro RSCG Worldwide, where he will report to chairman and CEO Bob Schmetterer. Heekin is the former chairman and CEO of McCann-Erickson WorldGroup and McCann-Erickson Worldwide. COLUMBUS, OH: Gerbig Snell/Weisheimer & Associates has hired John Deats as EVP to head the agency's public relations practice. Deats was most recently MD of the US healthcare practice at PR21. RALEIGH, NC: Capital Strategies has named Billy Warden account director and Deborah Reed as CFO of the firm. Most recently, Warden designed and implemented a communications plan that successfully influenced healthcare and civil-justice legislation in the North Carolina General Assembly. NEW YORK: Ziff Davis has promoted Randy Zane to director of corporate communications. He previously served as PR manager for PC Expo. SAN DIEGO: Wave Three Software has tapped Sterling Communications to help promote the company and its products. Wave Three develops desktop communication software for voice-video-data communications via any IP network. Sterling's San Francisco office will lead the account, handling corporate and product message development and positioning, product launches, media and analyst relations, and thought-leadership efforts. SAN FRANCISCO: Peppercom has promoted Andy Hilton from management supervisor to director of its San Francisco office. HARTFORD, CT: The Hartford financial services group has appointed Joshua King as VP of media relations. Prior to joining The Hartford, King was a consultant at Washington, DC-based polling firm Penn, Schoen & Berland, which is owned by WPP. ATLANTA: Edelman has added Smart Start Georgia to its client roster. Smart Start was created to develop and implement a long-term plan to increase school readiness in Georgia.
