SAN FRANCISCO: Larry Kamer has joined MS&L, filling a new post as US director of crisis and issues management. He'll report to North American presidents Jill Farwell and Joe Gleason.
"Working with [MS&L] will expose us to a greater slate of clients, and ratchet up the level of challenges," said Kamer. "This will be a great conduit to some really interesting work."
Kamer's consultancy, Kamer Consulting Group (KCG), will continue to run independently of MS&L, with Kamer's wife Devereaux Smith running KCG. However, Kamer said he would bring four members from KCG with him to MS&L.
Kamer has run KCG for the past two years. Prior to that, he was with GCI Group, which he joined when GCI acquired Kamer-Singer, the firm he founded with Sam Singer. Singer also left GCI to start his own firm, Singer Associates.
