PHILADELPHIA: Cable giant Comcast has appointed D'Arcy Rudnay VP of corporate communications.
Rudnay's responsibilities will include strategic communications planning as well ensuring consistent messaging for the company's several holdings, which, in addition to the cable divisions, include a high-speed internet business and television networks.
"Comcast has a tremendous story of growth, technology, and innovation, and D'Arcy will be instrumental in publicly communicating our business goals and successes to customers, shareholders, policymakers, and employees," said Comcast EVP David Cohen.
Rudnay is now VP of corporate communications and media relations at Lincoln Financial Group. She has also held communications posts at Advanta Corp. and at The Pew Charitable Trusts.
She will take up her new post later this year, replacing Karen Dougherty Buchholz, who has been named VP of administration at Comcast.
