LONDON: Ketchum has promoted partner Jon Higgins from CEO of the agency's London office to CEO of Ketchum's European operations. Higgins will report to Ketchum CEO Ray Kotcher.
To replace Higgins, Ketchum has also promoted partner David Gallagher from deputy CEO to CEO of the London office.
As Ketchum's CEO of Europe, Higgins will oversee offices in London, Paris, Munich, Milan, and Madrid, as well as an affiliate network covering Europe's major commercial, media, and political centers.
Higgins will also oversee business development and new ventures, and will work with clients such as Eastman Kodak, FedEx, Pfizer, IBM, Procter & Gamble, and Starbucks.
Higgins replaces senior partner Jerry Olszewski, who has held the Europe CEO position on an interim basis since the end of 2001, when the late James Maxwell left Ketchum to pursue personal interests.
Higgins joined Ketchum in 1994 as SVP and associate director of the San Francisco office, and became director and partner in '97. He was named CEO of the London office in 2000.
