NEW YORK: Hill & Knowlton has appointed Judi Frost Mackey as SVP and director of the New York office's corporate and financial practice.
The move comes shortly after she left Burson-Marsteller, where she chaired the US corporate and financial practice. Reporting to H&K's GM of New York, a position that was open as of press time due to the departure of Marilyn Castaldi, Mackey will lead the corporate practice and sit on the New York management committee.
"We're both part of the WPP family," Mackey said of Burson and her new firm, "and it's an amicable parting." She will continue to work on the Washington Mutual account, which will be shared by teams at Burson and H&K.
Asked what about her job will change with the move, Mackey said, "The responsibilities won't change a lot. I'll be leading a team of people across a number of disciplines, just with a different team."
Patrick Ford, formerly of Burson's public affairs practice, will assume Mackey's former position.
"Hill & Knowlton is a really exciting place for me. They are a truly global agency to watch out for," Mackey said.
