REDWOOD CITY, CA: Tech PR firm Eastwick Communications has acquired Mango Communications and named its founder, Lynda Kaye, head of Eastwick's new electronics practice.

The practice will focus on semiconductor, intellectual property development, and companies that deal with electronic design automation.

"We saw an increased demand for semiconductor-related counsel and services, and an opportunity for Eastwick in developing a targeted electronics practice to meet this need," said Eastwick principal Barbara Bates.

Kaye founded Mango in 1999, focusing on semiconductor companies. Before starting her own agency, Kaye held marketing and engineering jobs with several companies, including NCR and Cadence Design Systems.

Eastwick recently added CaseCentral and Open-Silicon to its client roster.
