Max Wireless, made by ClearOne Communications, is a wireless conference phone that can handle up to eight participants. It can be transferred between multiple conference rooms, as there is a 150-foot signal range from the base station - a square device, about the size of a double CD case, that plugs into any standard electrical outlet, and then connects to a nearby phone jack. The phone can be used for about eight continuous hours without needing to be recharged. In the event that you forget to recharge it between conferences, the phone can be used while charging (this, of course, eliminates wireless capabilities). Our editorial team, longtime victims of unpredictable conference phone technology, openly welcomed Max Wireless. Our regional correspondents, who have suffered through weekly meetings on sub-par equipment, agreed unanimously that voices in the New York office sounded softer, but definitely clearer. The verdict: Convince your office manager to get this cleaner (no messy wires), clearer option in conference calling. Any questions? Write us at email@example.com
