SEATTLE: Bill Fasig has joined digital media company Loudeye as VP of business development, sales, and marketing, where he will oversee corporate communications and brand building.Before joining Loudeye, Fasig was SVP of worldwide marketing and public affairs for VeriSign. And before VeriSign, Fasig was VP of corporate communications at Compaq. Fasig also has worked for Burson-Marsteller, Apple, and the US Department of Defense. Loudeye and Microsoft recently announced a partnership to promote Loudeye's digital music service, which helps companies set up online digital music stores, similar to iTunes and Rhapsody. The companies are working together to handle the infrastructure and distribution of Loudeye's music services, which are branded by other companies. Customers for the service so far include AT&T Wireless and Gibson Audio. "The company is well positioned in the digital media market, and it's an exciting time to be in this space," said Fasig.
