SAN FRANCISCO: Doug Kinzley, director of Ketchum West, has announced he is leaving the agency in April to assume an executive position with the Kneedler-Fauchere Group, a high-end home and commercial interiors firm. At Kneedler-Fauchere, which works with interior designers, architects, and hotels, Kinzley will oversee marketing and sales, as well as some business operations.
Kinzley oversaw the day-to-day operations of Ketchum's San Francisco office.
While high-end interiors is a change of pace from PR, Kinzley said he was intrigued by the challenge of helping the 55-year-old company enhance its presence in the market. He also anticipates that he'll be playing a more executive role and oversee all of marketing and sales.
Kinzley was promoted from assistant director to director of the San Francisco office in April 2002, when Dave Samson left Ketchum to join Oracle.
Ketchum named Kinzley, who joined the agency in late 2001, a partner in January 2003.
While Ketchum looks for a replacement for Kinzley, Sean Fitzgerald, MD of Ketchum West and based in the Los Angeles office, will take on Kinzley's responsibilities.
