NEW YORK: The PRSA and Bacon's Information jointly announced the establishment of a partnership in which Bacon's will endeavor to broaden and enhance PRSA's media relations and recruitment efforts.
The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
In addition to its traditional media-relations support services, Bacon's will help the society track and target new potential members. It will also provide financial underwriting of programs and services provided to PRSA members.
The two entities had been mulling the partnership since the PRSA conference last year, said Michael Buxbaum, Bacon's SVP of business development and marketing.
PRSA is looking for Bacon's to aid it with development efforts that they had been attempting in-house prior to the partnership.
"We're limited by budget and employees but there are a lot of opportunities out there," said John Robinson, PRSA's CMO. "So we were looking for key industry players to form partnerships where we could jointly tackle some needs areas for the society."
