NEW YORK: The PRSA and Bacon?s Information have established a partnership in which Bacon?s will endeavor to broaden and enhance PRSA?s media-relations efforts.
The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
In addition to its traditional media-relations support services, Bacon?s will help the society track and target new potential members. It also will provide financial underwriting of programs and services provided to PRSA members.
The two entities had been mulling the partnership since the PRSA conference last year, said Michael Buxbaum, Bacon?s SVP of business development and marketing.
PRSA is looking for Bacon?s to help it with development efforts that it had been attempting in-house before the union.
?We?re limited by budget and employees, but there are a lot of opportunities,? said John Robinson, PRSA?s CMO. ?We were looking for key industry players to form partnerships where we could jointly tackle some needs areas for the society.?
Bacon?s provides a number of services to PR professionals, including clips of print and online articles.
