Ogilvy announces two new SVPs for its NY health and medical practice

NEW YORK: David Bashaw and Pat Donohue have joined Ogilvy as SVPs in its health and medical practice in the New York office. Dononhue is expected to assume leadership on a number of Merck products and will focus on other products in the men's health and diabetes areas.

NEW YORK: David Bashaw and Pat Donohue have joined Ogilvy as SVPs in its health and medical practice in the New York office. Dononhue is expected to assume leadership on a number of Merck products and will focus on other products in the men's health and diabetes areas.

Donohue was most recently director of communications for Johnson & Johnson division McNeil Consumer & Specialty Pharmaceuticals, where she led communications strategies for several Tylenol brands. She has also served as a Ketchum VP.

Bashaw most recently served as SVP and group head on some pharmaceutical accounts at Edelman. He also held a number of account management positions at Stratis Communications.

"Our healthcare clients continue to demand senior talent with consumer expertise, and we are determined to exceed those expectations with leadership that is grounded in consumer marketing with healthcare industry expertise," Kym White, MD of Ogilvy's NY office, said in a press release.

Clients in Ogilvy's healthcare practice include Bayer, Bristol-Meyers Squibb, Novartis, and Pfizer.
