Weber Shandwick wins Carl's Jr. and Hardee's accounts

LOS ANGELES: CKE Restaurants has selected Weber Shandwick as its AOR for its Carl's Jr. and Hardee's restaurants. Weber Shandwick will provide public relations and marketing services, including consumer marketing, crisis preparedness, special events, and community relations for the two brands.

LOS ANGELES: CKE Restaurants has selected Weber Shandwick as its AOR for its Carl's Jr. and Hardee's restaurants. Weber Shandwick will provide public relations and marketing services, including consumer marketing, crisis preparedness, special events, and community relations for the two brands.

The firm's LA consumer marketing team will lead the account and provide support for CKE Restaurants and the Carl's Jr. brand, while the St. Louis office will assist with the Hardee's brand.

"It was immediately apparent that Weber Shandwick had the right resources, the relevant experience and the chemistry we sought in an agency," said Brad Haley, EVP marketing, for the Carl's Jr. and Hardee's brands.

Among CKE Restaurants' 3,250 restaurants, there are approximately 1,000 Carl's Jr. and over 2,100 Hardee's. Its 2003 fiscal year revenue, ending January 26, 2004 was $1.4 billion.

Weber Shandwick is a unit of the Interpublic Group.
