If you spend a lot of time on the phone, a headset is a must to avoid pains in your neck and elbow from holding a receiver all day. Most of the wired headsets I've tried seem to have volume problems - people at the other end can't hear me very well. I didn't have that problem with the Plantronics CS50. Some caveats, though. The headset is compatible with standard office phones, but if your phone has a wireless handset, you can't use it - it needs a wired handset plug to attach to on your phone. Also, you still have to pick up the receiver to answer calls, although an optional lifter device is available for $79. The CS50 passes the cool test. You'll look cool walking around with a wireless mike on your head. At least I think so. Any suggestions for gadgets we should try?
