Grey Global's FQ revenue increases

NEW YORK: Grey Global Group's revenue for the First Quarter 2004 increased 15.5% from the same period last year, the company said in a statement May 5. Revenue for the first three months of 2004 was nearly $343.9 million. New York-based Grey Global did not report the numbers from its PR firms, APCO Worldwide and GCI Group.

"We do not break out by discipline, only by region," said Jan Sneed, director of corporate affairs at Grey Global, one of the smallest agency holding companies.

A weak dollar spurred the overall revenue increase, the company said, and most of Grey Global's growth came in regional operations based outside North America.
