NEW YORK: Bloomberg L.P.'s chief spokesman, Chris Taylor, has left the financial news company to head up communications efforts for MacAndrews & Forbes Holdings, the company owned by Ronald O. Perelman.
Taylor, who started her new job this week, said the parting with her employer of eight years as amicable. Bloomberg did not immediately reply to a query about whether the company had a replacement.
Recently, the company, which is best-known for its terminals and financial coverage, has been hounded in the media by a union organizing drive aimed at its journalists.
Taylor's new title is SVP for corporate communications.
"I represented a very high-profile company and I hope to bring my experience with the press to this job as well," she said.
MacAndrews & Forbes, a private diversified holding company, owns controlling interests in Revlon, Panavision, and M&F Worldwide among other companies.
