NEW YORK: Business Wire (BW) will now be able to send its content to the Associated Press' international subscribers, according to a deal announced today between the New York-based communications vendor and the world's largest news-gathering organization.
BW will be the first third-party content provider to gain access to the AP's 1,000-plus international subscribers. The company will initially get access to the AP's European and Asia- Pacific subscribers, said Neil Hershberg, VP for global media at BW.
"It dramatically increases our distribution," Hershberg added. "We'll go right to [the subscribers'] desktops."
The AP distribution is free to current BW members through the end of 2004. The AP has more than 15,000 subscribers worldwide and its content reaches about one billion people daily.
