PARSIPPANY, NJ: Cadbury Schweppes' Snapple brand will continue to use Deustch for PR even though it's dropped the New York agency on the advertising and media buying fronts.
Cliff Freeman & Partners will now handle advertising and media buying.
Charles Alfaro, VP corporate communications for Cadbury Schweppes Americas, confirmed Deutsch will continue to handle Snapple's PR.
Snapple PR in recent years has involved grassroots efforts and off-beat contests. The brand sought to maintain an independent, quirky image even though it's now owned by beverage and food giant Cadbury. In the past, Snapple PR also involved appearances of Wendy the Snapple lady, who also appeared in Snapple ads.
