Why the heck does a pen needs 128MB of storage space ? The answer is, it doesn't. Performance-wise, it's an average pen. But unscrew the Attache and you find a waiting USB port (it comes with a cable, too). The idea is to allow busy executives to stop lugging around disks or laptops, instead transferring important documents via the writing implement. Not a bad idea. The Attache is easy to use and a nifty conversation piece. Instead of pulling out a handful of disks at your next client meeting, plug your pen into their computer. It's a guaranteed "oooh." In the end, one must question the wisdom of storing your precious documents in the one item you misplace more often than your car keys. Losing your pen is a very minor tragedy; losing your job because you lost the pen that held your presentation isn't. Any suggestions for gadgets we should try? Send them to toybox@prweek.com
