NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA: Enterprise software firm SAP has appointed Claudia Peters to the new position of VP of communications for the public sector.
Peters will help increase the company's visibility in the public sector in North America.
She will report to SVP of global communications Anne McCarthy.
Peters was most recently director of corporate communications at The Walt Disney Company.
Peters' arrival comes on the heels of other new communications employees. Last month, Steve Bauer joined as VP of North American communications. And McCarthy joined the enterprise software leader in September.
Last month, McCarthy said that SAP has a "growing enormous need for communications," particularly in the US, a market that generates $2.5 billion in revenue for SAP.
The company recently made headlines when it was revealed that it had discussed a possible merger with Microsoft late last year.
Eventually those discussions broke off.
