PRNewswire kicks off new service to track investor hits

NEW YORK: PRNewswire has launched a new service that is able to chart the hits a news release gets from institutional investors.

Investor Access Reporting, introduced earlier this month, was planned for more than a year in partnership with Thomson Financial, said David Armon, COO of PRNewswire.

The new service enables subscribers to send out releases and then see which institutional investors look at them. The investors are also PRNewswire subscribers.

"More and more," Armon explained, "we hear from customers, 'Show me who's looking at this stuff.'"

Investor Access Reporting marks the first time such feedback is available on institutional investors. It joins other PRNewswire services, such as Media Access and Public Access reports, that chart viewers of press releases.
