NEW YORK: Jerry Leshne has been appointed Interpublic Group's new VP of financial planning, analysis, and investor relations, IPG announced last Monday. He replaces Dan Leib, who left IPG in May to become VP of IR at RR Donnelley & Sons in Chicago.
Leshne started immediately. He reports jointly to CFO Robert Thompson and Philippe Krakowsky, IPG's corporate communications director.
"You can assume that we looked at a number of people," Krakowsky said, declining to name the others.
Leshne had been head of fixed income management at the wealth and investment management firm Rockefeller & Co. Before that he had been VP of investor relations at Dow Jones & Co.
Leshne also held a variety of finance-related positions, including VP of investor relations, during his 16 years at Sears, Roebuck & Co.
IPG is one of the world's largest agency holding companies. The company owns PR agencies Weber Shandwick, DeVries PR, Golin Harris, and MWW Group.
