KANSAS CITY, MO: Over the past 15 years, Trozzolo Communications Group's clients have taught children how to read and sought a cure for childhood diseases.
So in celebrating its 15th anniversary, the agency is helping one local charity fight pediatric cancer by donating $15,000 in PR services.
The charity is the local chapter of Alex's Lemonade Stand, which was founded on the front lawn of then-4-year-old Alex Scott of Philadelphia.
Alex, who died of cancer last month at the age of 8, inspired similar lemonade stands in all 50 states.
The $15,000 grant will help 7-year-old Jacob Mozer, who is in remission from cancer, raise community awareness for his stand by setting up other Kansas City locations and building corporate partners.
"These are kids, sick kids ... yet their first priority is really to help others," said Pasquale Trozzolo, president and CEO.
The agency chose Alex's Lemonade Stand from among several nominations. "It was universal here," Trozzolo said.
