CLIFTON, NJ: Collegiate Presswire (CP) is launching a weekly e-mail newsletter that features a summary of relevant headlines and stories from college newspapers across the country.
Collegiate Reporter will target PR agencies and marketers looking to penetrate college media, and is available by paid subscription.
Beginning this week, Collegiate Reporter will offer subscribers a look at the top 10 trend stories from college newspapers across the country, said Matthew Farlie, director of business development. The idea for the newsletter, which took three months to develop, came from clients' desire to have an inside scoop on hot topics at colleges, he said.
"What we found in our researching is that there is no good way for [PR agencies] to keep in touch with campus media and what's going on," Farlie said.
Each week, a team from CP will look at 200 to 250 college newspapers to discern what the trends are in college news, sports, and entertainment. In addition to the top headlines, the newsletter will feature a trend piece written by a CP staffer, occasional guest columns by college editors, and surveys of top college newspaper editors.
Collegiate Reporter will be published 48 times a year, with two-week breaks during mid-July and the winter holiday.
