NEW YORK: Omnicom Group announced increases in both overall net income and global and PR revenues in the third quarter.
The company's global PR revenue for this quarter, $257.8 million, comprised 11.1% of its total quarterly revenue and represented a 14% increase from 2003's third quarter. It has grossed $760.1 million PR revenue to date, up 10.8% from the same time period in 2003.
Both domestic and worldwide revenue increased 14% from the third quarter of 2003 to 2004. Globally, the company earned $2.32 billion this quarter, compared to $2.03 billion in the third quarter of last year. It has amassed nearly $7 billion in revenue so far this year.
Domestic revenues increased to $1.26 billion from $1.11 a year ago, representing 54.4% of its total third quarter revenue.
Omnicom's third-quarter net income of $145.3 million was up 17% from the third quarter of 2003.
Its PR firms include Fleishman Hillard, Ketchum, Porter Novelli, Brodeur Worldwide, Clark and Weinstock, and Cone.
